Infant Assistant Teacher Position in Oakland

What You'll Do9
- 1Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate infant environment
- 2Assist with daily caregiving routines such as feeding diapering sleeping and transitions
- 3Prepare and maintain Montessori materials that promote sensory exploration and early movement
- 4Provide attentive supervision and build trusting relationships with each infant
- 5Observe and share developmental insights with the Lead Teacher
- 6Maintain consistent routines while adapting to individual infant needs
- 7Communicate professionally with team members and families
- 8Follow all health safety and licensing requirements
- 9Complete required infant care coursework and obtain CPR and First Aid certification
Requirements8
- 1Minimum 6 ECE units from an accredited college
- 2Completion of Infant/Toddler coursework required for infant care in California
- 3Current CPR and First Aid certification
- 4Montessori experience or interest in Montessori philosophy is a plus
- 5Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- 6Comfortable holding and carrying infants throughout the day
- 7Valid California background clearance and health clearances
- 8Live Scan fingerprinting completion before employment
