Overview
At Mister Car Wash, the world's largest car wash company, you will own uptime and reliability across multiple wash sites in the Houston market. Working with PLC, VFD, and 3-phase systems, you will diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic failures. You will report to a regional maintenance manager and partner with a tight-knit team of technicians. This role offers a company vehicle, stocked tool inventory, and clear paths to advance from Technician to Trusted Expert. You will travel between sites, tackle varied challenges daily, and take pride in keeping our operations safe and efficient.
What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including control wiring and 3-phase power, ensuring minimal downtime.
- 2Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repair on industrial car wash equipment using electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic skills.
- 3Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures quickly, diagnosing issues and implementing fixes to restore operations.
- 4Travel across your market in a company-provided vehicle to complete scheduled maintenance and urgent repair calls.
- 5Partner with regional teams on new equipment installations and technology rollouts, applying VFD and PLC troubleshooting skills.
- 6Build strong relationships with teammates and site staff, providing technical expertise and support.
- 7Take pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and fully operational locations that reflect Mister Car Wash standards.
- 8Seize travel opportunities to learn new equipment and best practices, accelerating your technical growth.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of experience in industrial or production maintenance, with breakdown experience preferred.
- 2Electrical experience with 3-phase high-voltage systems, low-voltage systems, AC/DC electrical systems, control wiring, and powered equipment.
- 3Solid skills in at least four of these areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, plumbing.
- 4VFD and PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- 5Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and respond quickly in fast-paced environments.
- 6Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
- 7Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- 8Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, crawl, and climb ladders.
- 9Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, required upon hire.
