Overview
You will prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, business entities, and non-profits at C R Reams CPA PLLC. You will examine accounts, input financial data, and compute tax owed while advising on strategies to minimize liability. You will ensure compliance with taxing authority requirements and maintain organized records. You will also conduct tax research and support special projects. This contract role in Dallas offers direct client interaction and exposure to a diverse client base.
What You'll Do6
- 1Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, business entities, and non-profits using Lacerte and QuickBooks Online.
- 2Examine accounts and records to input financial data and compute tax owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
- 3Advise clients on tax-minimization strategies and implement those strategies within legal boundaries.
- 4Ensure the organization complies with taxing authority requirements by staying current on regulations.
- 5Organize and maintain tax records for clients and the firm to facilitate audits and future filings.
- 6Conduct tax research to address complex client issues and support special projects as assigned.
Requirements6
- 15-10 years experience preparing tax returns for individuals, business entities, and non-profits.
- 2Proficient in tax software, preferably Lacerte, and also QuickBooks Online, Outlook, and Excel.
- 3BS in Accounting or Business preferred, but not required.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
- 6Service orientation with active listening skills to understand client needs.
