Ice Cream Server/Cashier - Tasty Treats Creamery
Overview
You will own the front-of-house experience at Tasty Treats Creamery, serving artisan ice cream and seasonal treats to hundreds of guests daily. You will take orders, handle cash, and keep the serving area spotless, all while embodying our fun, energetic brand. You will work alongside a close-knit team of seasoned food service pros and report directly to the Shift Lead. This role stands out because you will master POS systems and food safety protocols in a lively retail setting, with room to grow into supervisory roles.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet each guest with a warm smile and take orders for ice cream, sundaes, and shakes
- 2Scoop premium ice cream and add toppings and sauces following portion guidelines
- 3Operate the cash register to process cash, card, and mobile payments, making accurate change
- 4Maintain sanitation standards by wiping counters, cleaning scoop stations, and bussing tables
- 5Restock cups, cones, and toppings during slow periods to keep the line moving
- 6Assist in food prep for baked goods and waffle cones during opening shifts
- 7Follow food safety rules, including temperature checks and hand washing
- 8Support inventory counts and stock rotation for perishable items
Requirements7
- 11+ year in food service, quick service, or retail cashier roles
- 2Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude
- 3Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math under pressure
- 4Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices, including ServSafe basics
- 5Comfortable standing for 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
- 6Reliable transportation to Tasty Treats Creamery in Dallas
- 7Open availability on weekends and holidays as needed
