You own the first impression for every Guest at Chili's Oakland Mall in Detroit, MI. As Host, you welcome each person, manage the wait list, and set the tone for a great experience. You'll work alongside a tight-knit team in a busy, high-volume restaurant. What You'll Do7
- 1Greet every Guest with a warm welcome and genuine smile within the first 30 seconds of arrival.
- 2Manage the wait list accurately, seating Guests promptly while balancing table turns and server availability.
- 3Answer the telephone within three rings, direct calls, and take reservations if applicable.
- 4Communicate Guest concerns to the Manager on duty immediately, ensuring quick resolution.
- 5Help fellow Team Members with side work, bussing, or running food when needed to keep the floor moving.
- 6Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming entryway and waiting area throughout your shift.
- 7Assist with restocking host stand supplies and menus before peak hours.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of customer service, restaurant, or retail experience preferred but not required.
- 2Friendly, warm, and caring attitude, always ready to greet with a smile.
- 3Ability to think and act quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- 4Comfortable standing for 8+ hour shifts and moving continuously.
- 5Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food, up to 25 lbs.
- 6No formal education or experience necessary; full training provided.
