Hospitalist Internship AdventHealth Winter Park
Overview
The Hospitalist will own inpatient clinical care across multiple specialties at AdventHealth Altamonte. This role involves leading multidisciplinary rounds and ensuring efficient resource utilization. We seek candidates who can deliver high-quality care while collaborating with consulting physicians.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform patient assessments, histories, and physicals
- 2Diagnose and actively manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- 3Provide daily patient care and documentation in EPIC
- 4Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studies
- 5Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, I&D, and splinting
- 6Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies
- 7Collaborate with consulting physicians and specialty teams
- 8Ensure efficient use of hospital resources and adherence to clinical pathways
- 9Facilitate appropriate and timely transfers to tertiary care facilities
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Board Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FM)
- 3Active Florida medical license (or eligibility)
- 4DEA license (active or eligible)
- 5Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
