Security Officers needed to safeguard Jefferson Hospital in Clairton and support nursing staff and patients. Onsite full-time roles with varied shifts and weekend inclusion. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to identify unsafe conditions and unauthorized individuals
- 2Inspect security devices and fire control equipment to ensure proper function
- 3Screen members and visitors to expedite facility access and maintain safety
- 4Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, and elevator failures with calm urgency
- 5De-escalate conflicts and provide safe escorts for patients, staff, or visitors
- 6Escort nursing staff to morgue with deceased patients when required
- 7Monitor for signs of crime, disorder, or hazards and report incidents to management
- 8Assist with patient restraints under proper training and supervision
- 9Support nursing staff during emergencies and ensure safety of all occupants
- 10Complete required documentation and reports detailing incidents and actions taken
Requirements9
- 1Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles or 18 for unarmed positions
- 2High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- 3Background check and drug screen as required by law
- 4Willingness to work 7:00AM-3:00PM 3:00PM-11:00PM or 11:00PM-7:00AM
- 5Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and perform moderate technological tasks
- 6Valid driver’s license required for driving positions
- 7Multiple vaccinations including TB, MMR, Varicella, Tetanus per policy
- 8Possess or be eligible for a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification after offer
- 9Prior experience in customer service or handling stressful situations
