What You'll Do10

  • 1Collaborate with hospital case managers, social workers, nurses, and physicians to coordinate patient discharges
  • 2Ensure timely delivery and setup of respiratory and DME equipment at discharge points
  • 3Educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and maintenance
  • 4Maintain accurate documentation including referral forms insurance verification delivery tickets and activity logs
  • 5Support emergency equipment needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • 6Participate in quality improvement initiatives to meet company and JCAHO standards
  • 7Maintain strong relationships with hospital personnel and serve as a trusted resource for discharge planning
  • 8Provide in-service training and CEU programs as needed
  • 9Represent the company at trade shows and professional events
  • 10Travel to patient homes for equipment setup and follow-up using a company vehicle

Requirements11

  • 1High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 2At least three years of related work experience
  • 3Background in medical equipment or healthcare settings
  • 4Familiarity with medical billing practices and insurance reimbursement
  • 5Knowledge of medical terminology
  • 6Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
  • 7Valid driver’s license in state of residence with clean driving record
  • 8Strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • 9Experience with Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel
  • 10Proficiency operating fax copier printer phone and computer/tablet
  • 11Regular contact with patients and equipment with potential pathogen exposure
