Overview
You will prepare and verify customized sterile medications for a home infusion pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA, supporting patients with IV therapies in a low-volume setting. You will work alongside one pharmacy technician and report to a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality care. This 8+ week contract offers a Monday-Friday schedule and focuses on sterile compounding compliance with USP 797 and USP 795 standards. You will leverage your PharmD and 1+ years of experience to ensure patient safety and product quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare and verify customized sterile medications, including IV therapies, in a controlled cleanroom environment using USP 797 guidelines.
- 2Ensure all sterile compounding activities comply with USP 795, state, and federal regulations.
- 3Perform final verification and inspection of sterile compounded medications prior to dispensing.
- 4Oversee and support pharmacy technicians involved in sterile compounding and medication preparation.
- 5Maintain cleanroom standards, equipment, and environmental monitoring documentation.
- 6Follow strict aseptic techniques to ensure the highest level of patient safety and product quality.
- 7Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and delivery.
- 8Maintain accurate documentation and support quality assurance initiatives.
Requirements6
- 1Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- 2Minimum 1 year of recent sterile compounding experience
- 3Home infusion experience strongly preferred
- 4Knowledge of USP 797 and USP 795 standards
- 5Strong computer skills and ability to work with pharmacy software systems
- 6Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
