Home Health Aide, Caregiver Columbus Ohio
Overview
You will deliver personalized daily care to clients in their homes across Columbus, Ohio. Own the full scope of patient support, from hygiene and meals to mobility and companionship. Work directly with a small care team, coordinating with nurses and family members to maintain comfort and safety. This role focuses on continuity of care for geriatric, memory care, and developmental disability clients. You gain flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, and PRN options.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and light meal preparation
- 2Monitor and document client health status and condition changes in medical records
- 3Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment
- 4Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility, including lifting when necessary
- 5Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality
- 6Communicate care plan updates and concerns to healthcare professionals
- 7Apply memory care techniques to enhance cognitive function and daily living skills
- 8Support individuals with developmental disabilities using tailored caregiving strategies
Requirements7
- 12+ years experience as a Home Health Aide or in home care
- 2Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management
- 3Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to client confidentiality
- 4Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility
- 5Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and families
- 6Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve quality of life
- 7Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is a plus
