Overview

You will own the mechanical health of all incoming and outgoing equipment at our new Spring, TX dealership, where we sell and service aerial work platforms and telehandlers. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and prep both new and used units, working directly with the sales and operations teams. Your shop spans indoor and outdoor workspaces, and you'll handle everything from hydraulic resealing to full PDI on new machines. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a second Texas location backed by an established dealer, with stable Monday-to-Friday hours and no rotating shifts.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Inspect and evaluate incoming used equipment for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • 2Diagnose and repair diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers
  • 3Perform PDI and setup on new equipment from JLG, Genie, Skyjack, and SkyTrak
  • 4Complete manufacturer warranty work on new equipment
  • 5Repair and reseal hydraulic components, including cylinders and valves
  • 6Prepare new and used equipment for sale and customer delivery, ensuring all functions meet spec
  • 7Maintain accurate inspection, service, and repair records for every unit
  • 8Collaborate with sales and operations to prioritize equipment that is needed for pending deliveries
  • 9Help load, unload, move, and clean equipment as part of the team, supporting any area that needs extra hands

Requirements9

  • 15+ years repairing heavy equipment, aerial lifts, or forklifts
  • 2Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills, including reading schematics
  • 3Experience with JLG, Genie, Skyjack, SkyTrak, MEC, or equivalent brands
  • 4Ability to perform proper used-equipment inspections and evaluate structural and mechanical condition
  • 5Comfortable using computer-based diagnostic and service systems
  • 6Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • 7Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors
  • 8Willingness to work as part of a team and pitch in beyond mechanical tasks
  • 9Previous dealership or rental company experience preferred
