Overview
As Head of Global Infrastructure, you will own the strategy, engineering, and operations of MetLife's infrastructure platforms across global regions, supporting a workforce of 800+ and impacting millions of customers. You will lead the modernization of cloud, AI, and mainframe environments, ensuring resilience and high performance for enterprise data and analytics. Reporting to the Global Technology leadership, you will drive AI Ops and MLOps capabilities, build scalable infrastructure-as-code, and foster a culture of innovation. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead global infrastructure strategy across data infrastructure, AI Ops, cloud engineering, network services, end user technologies, and hosting environments.
- 2Build scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure platforms supporting enterprise data, analytics, and AI workloads.
- 3Manage hybrid hosting environments including on-premises, cloud, and colocation to ensure resilience and business continuity.
- 4Oversee a global organization of approximately 800 employees and 400 Global Capability Center resources, driving engineering and operational excellence.
- 5Implement AI/ML infrastructure capabilities including MLOps platforms, GPU-enabled compute, and model lifecycle management.
- 6Coordinate cross-functional partnerships with technology, security, and business leaders to align infrastructure with enterprise priorities.
- 7Drive cloud engineering practices including Kubernetes, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
- 8Modernize mainframe and legacy platforms while controlling costs and improving performance.
- 9Manage global network services including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and secure connectivity for high availability and low latency.
Requirements10
- 115+ years in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, or enterprise technology operations.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure technologies.
- 4Experience building enterprise data platforms and AI/ML infrastructure solutions.
- 5Strong financial and vendor management skills.
- 6Proven leadership managing global, complex technology organizations and driving large-scale transformation.
- 7Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- 8Track record of leading global infrastructure in insurance or financial services.
- 9Demonstrated success in enterprise cloud transformation and hybrid cloud modernization.
- 10Deep expertise in AI/ML infrastructure, MLOps, GPU environments, and AI-driven operations.
Salary Insight
$270 - $360k per year
