Overview
Lead the AI product and platform strategy for a seed-stage venture firm at scale. Own the roadmap, data layer, evaluation methods, and cross-functional AI initiatives that drive alpha in sourcing, diligence, wins, and portfolio support. Build reusable AI primitives and tooling that empower teams across investing, portfolio impact, and operations. This role blends engineering leadership, product thinking, and entrepreneurship to create a durable firm-wide advantage.
What You'll Do10
- 1Set vision and strategy with firm leadership and translate into a focused AI plan
- 2Own the AI roadmap, track progress, and prioritize ruthlessly to align with firm outcomes
- 3Build platform foundations including a shared data layer and reusable AI primitives
- 4Stay fluent in LLMs, agents, context retrieval, evals, and model landscape and prototype when needed
- 5Turn workflows into products by shipping tools that improve decision making and adoption across teams
- 6Enable others to build by creating standards and support for agents on shared foundations
- 7Drive cross-functional cohesion across investing, portfolio impact, and operations teams
- 8Lead day-to-day engineering effort, recruit talent, and uphold technical excellence
- 9Communicate strategy, roadmap, risks, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 10Cultivate a culture of ownership, speed, and high judgment across the AI program
Requirements5
- 17-10+ years of experience building meaningful technical products or systems
- 2Hands-on fluency with LLMs, agents, context/retrieval layers, evals, and model landscape
- 3Track record of turning ambiguous opportunities into adopted products with measurable value
- 4Experience navigating complex organizations and aligning stakeholders without formal authority
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to operate across technical and non-technical audiences
