What You'll Do8
- 1Perform Certified Head Athletic Trainer duties including first aid emergency care and on-site injury evaluation
- 2Develop and implement rehabilitation programs while maintaining computerized injury logs
- 3Coordinate pre-season preseason and in-season periodization plans
- 4Supervise assistant trainers and volunteers within the sports medicine team
- 5Maintain league electronic medical records and document player health status reports
- 6Provide medical assistance to the team physician and manage pharmaceutical inventory
- 7Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain safe training environments
- 8Prepare facilities and lead community education initiatives related to sports medicine
Requirements8
- 1Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC Certified) with current state licensure
- 2Eligibility for appropriate athletic trainer certification
- 3First Aid and CPR certifications with current renewal
- 45+ years experience in sports medicine or athletic training
- 5Proven leadership abilities in high-pressure environments
- 6Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- 7Strong knowledge of injury prevention and return-to-play protocols
- 8Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with coaches and medical staff
