The Athletic Trainer position at South Park serves as a clinical extender supporting sports medicine physicians in musculoskeletal care. What You'll Do11
- 1Perform detailed injury histories and musculoskeletal assessments under physician direction
- 2Assist physicians with orthopedic and sports medicine physical examinations
- 3Translate mechanism of injury functional demands and symptom progression into meaningful clinical context
- 4Support diagnosis and treatment planning through case presentation and clinical documentation
- 5Develop and instruct patients on home exercise programs and injury specific care plans
- 6Fit educate and manage durable medical equipment braces splints and taping
- 7Assist with concussion screening and follow up per established protocols
- 8Monitor rehabilitation progress and communicate patient status to physicians and care teams
- 9Act as a physician extender to improve clinic flow and efficiency
- 10Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- 11Coordinate care with physical therapy imaging and other ancillary services
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading athletic training programs
- 3Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a CAATE accredited athletic training program
- 4Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer
- 5Current NC state licensure
- 6Strong knowledge of orthopedic injuries rehabilitation principles and sports medicine practices
- 7Excellent communication documentation and interpersonal skills
- 8Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team based clinical environment
