Hardware Test Technician Red6
Overview
Red 6 seeks a Hardware Test Technician to test and troubleshoot advanced hardware and optical systems. You will work with engineers to execute test procedures and perform diagnostics to ensure performance and reliability standards. This role involves collaborating across design test and manufacturing teams to support product development cycles.
What You'll Do10
- 1Execute hardware and system-level test procedures based on engineering direction
- 2Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues including electrical optical and mechanical failures
- 3Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes multimeters signal generators and other diagnostic tools to support testing
- 4Record and report test data accurately and escalate test failures to engineering teams
- 5Assist engineers in validating new hardware builds and configurations
- 6Support setup and maintenance of test benches equipment and fixtures
- 7Collaborate with design test and manufacturing teams to support product development cycles
- 8Participate in root cause analysis and assist with corrective actions
- 9Redline existing test plans and procedures to provide input for continuous improvement
- 10Provide on-site technical support for ATARS hardware during integration and field testing
Requirements11
- 1Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
- 22–5 years of experience in hardware testing troubleshooting or technician roles
- 3Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and hands-on experience assembling hardware
- 4Proficient with lab tools oscilloscopes power supplies logic analyzers and other diagnostic tools
- 5Ability to read and interpret schematics wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- 6Familiarity with Linux systems and basic command-line usage
- 7Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking system
- 8Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D or prototyping environment
- 9Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 10Experience in aviation defense or AR/VR systems is a plus
- 11Basic scripting or programming Python C++ is helpful but not required
