What You'll Do9

  • 1Ensure facility safety and security through constant room checks and daily equipment inspections, responding to incidents with positive intervention.
  • 2Conduct guest intakes, greeting each guest and providing a detailed orientation of program guidelines within the first 24 hours.
  • 3Build rapport and trust by checking in with guests throughout the shift, attending to their requests and gathering feedback to improve services.
  • 4Assist nursing and social services with on-site appointments and check-ins, coordinating with external partners as needed.
  • 5Maintain accurate bed availability documentation and support management with daily shift notes, incident reports, and Emergency Action Plan drills.
  • 6Lead engagement activities such as games, crafts, or wellness sessions to foster a supportive community.
  • 7Perform laundry, boutique, and mealtime duties, stepping in for housekeeping when needed to keep the facility clean.
  • 8Complete required trainings including BLS, Crisis Prevention, and Trauma Informed Care to enhance response skills.
  • 9Adapt to schedule changes and work additional shifts as needed, maintaining a professional image and adhering to dress code.

Requirements8

  • 12+ years caregiver experience in a Healthcare or Recuperative Care environment, preferred, but not required.
  • 2Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work 5 eight-hour shifts per week, including weekends and evenings.
  • 3Current BLS certification preferred, but not required.
  • 4Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of staff and guests.
  • 5Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • 6Pass a background check, LIVE scan, and TB test.
  • 7Physical ability to stand and walk 90% of the time, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • 8Willingness to work in a high-noise environment and adapt to changing needs.
