Greenskeeper, Golf Course Maintenance & Turf Care
Overview
You will own daily golf course preparation at Pine Lake Country Club in Charlotte, NC, following a multimillion dollar renovation with new irrigation, greens, tees, and bunkers. You will work with a dedicated maintenance team to deliver pristine conditions for members. This role offers full-time or part-time hours, health benefits, and retirement plan options. What You'll Do8
- 1Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs to exacting standards using reel mowers and rotary mowers.
- 2Rake bunkers, trim, edge, and prune to maintain course aesthetics and playability.
- 3Clean course features, pick up sticks and trash, and reset tee markers and pins daily.
- 4Inspect and perform routine maintenance on irrigation heads and valves to ensure proper water coverage.
- 5Assist with fertilizer and topdressing applications as directed.
- 6Operate and maintain turf equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- 7Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- 8Support other team members with course setup for tournaments and special events.
Requirements9
- 11+ years experience in golf course maintenance or turf care, or equivalent seasonal work.
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the course.
- 3Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
- 4Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic repair techniques.
- 5Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
- 6Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive tasks, including bending and standing for long periods.
- 7Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- 8Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed for course operations.
- 9CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
