Golf Course Operator - Leisure World Community Association
Overview
The Golf Operator will own and maintain Association golf courses by operating equipment and using tools. This role involves preparing courses for play grading laying sod and ensuring safety while working outdoors in extreme temperatures. You will contribute to a diverse team and provide excellent customer service.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assist with preparing the course for daily play by raking bunkers and cutting trimming greens tees and roughs
- 2Apply growth enhancers and disease inhibitors to greens and tees
- 3Grade and prepare base lay sod and seed greens tees and fairways
- 4Participate in daily setup for play and excavate backfill ditches and trenches
- 5Cut weeds and brush perform tree trimming and maintain equipment cleanliness
- 6Load and unload materials assist with watering roughs and perform specialized tasks during adverse weather
- 7Maintain a safe work environment report safety violations and exhibit reliable attendance
- 8Engage with coworkers develop professional contacts and attend training courses
- 9Stay current with industry literature and contribute to a welcoming work environment
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent one year of golf course experience preferred
- 2Physical stamina to stand walk bend and lift heavy weights
- 3Ability to communicate effectively listen and understand oral instructions
- 4Strong English reading speaking skills
- 5Commitment to safety and professional conduct
