Overview
You will lead protective operations for Apple's most senior leaders, mitigating threats in real-time across domestic and international venues. Operating from San Jose, you'll coordinate with cross-functional teams and external agencies. This role demands discretion, adaptability, and a proactive security mindset. You'll shape security strategy for high-profile events and executive travel, supported by a dedicated team.
What You'll Do8
- 1Coordinate executive protection details, secure transportation, and emergency planning for high-profile individuals.
- 2Conduct advance operations and risk assessments to identify threats before they emerge.
- 3Build and audit security plans for special events, ensuring alignment with Apple's standards.
- 4Drive communication with internal units and external service providers to synchronize security efforts.
- 5Execute counter-surveillance and contingency planning for domestic and global travel.
- 6Implement physical security systems, including intrusion detection and CCTV, to safeguard assets.
- 7Manage vendor relationships for global projects, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality.
- 8Deliver Keynote-based security briefings to leadership, translating complex threats into clear actions.
Requirements10
- 18+ years in executive protection, law enforcement, or military special operations.
- 2Proven expertise in protective intelligence, secure transportation, and contingency planning.
- 3Experience with international and domestic travel security, including austere environments.
- 4Working knowledge of physical security systems: CCTV, intrusion detection, and related software.
- 5Ability to travel frequently on short notice, including globally, and be on-call 24/7.
- 6Capable of extended standing, walking, and hiking several miles in challenging conditions.
- 7Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort handling confidential data.
- 8Proficiency in Keynote and other presentation tools for security reporting.
- 9Bachelor's degree preferred, plus corporate executive protection experience.
- 10Basic medical training and advanced certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.
