
GenAI Engineer, AI-Assisted Software Development
Overview
You will own the adoption of Devin AI and Claude Code across enterprise engineering teams, accelerating delivery of production applications. You will partner with architects and developers to embed AI-assisted workflows into the SDLC, from design through deployment. This contract role spans Wilmington, DE, Fairfax, VA, Washington, DC, Silver Spring, MD, and Philadelphia, PA. You will drive measurable gains in development velocity while ensuring code quality and security.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deploy Devin AI agents to automate repetitive coding tasks, cutting delivery time by 30% in the first quarter
- 2Integrate Claude Code into developer toolchains, enabling real-time code reviews and refactoring suggestions
- 3Build CI/CD pipelines that invoke AI agents for testing and deployment across AWS and Azure environments
- 4Partner with product teams to break down epics into AI-executable subtasks, shipping features faster without compromising quality
- 5Design guardrails for AI-generated code, including automated security scans with SonarQube and Snyk
- 6Train 10+ engineers on prompt engineering and AI pair programming, lifting team productivity by 25%
- 7Monitor AI agent performance, tuning models and prompts to reduce false positives and improve accuracy
- 8Own the rollout of AI-assisted development metrics, reporting velocity gains and defect rates to leadership
Requirements8
- 15+ years in software engineering with Python, Java, or TypeScript
- 22+ years hands-on with Devin AI and Claude Code in production settings
- 3Proven track record shipping AI-assisted features in enterprise environments
- 4AWS or Azure certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate
- 5Strong grasp of Git, Docker, and Kubernetes for containerized AI workloads
- 6Experience with LangChain and RAG architectures for building generative AI solutions
- 7Solid understanding of OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including cost and latency trade-offs
- 8Ability to lead agile ceremonies and communicate AI value to non-technical stakeholders
