
Full Stack Engineer (React, NestJS, Node.js)
Overview
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and Node.js across a multi-city team. You will own application architecture decisions and cloud deployments on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ship features from concept to production. This contract role offers direct exposure to modern cloud-native stacks and the chance to shape core products from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and build responsive frontend interfaces with React.js and TypeScript, delivering pixel-perfect UI components that meet business requirements.
- 2Develop robust backend services using NestJS and Node.js, implementing RESTful APIs and business logic that handle high-volume traffic.
- 3Architect and deploy scalable microservices on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run to ensure high availability.
- 4Integrate cloud storage and database solutions, using Firestore or Cloud SQL to manage data persistence and retrieval.
- 5Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver features within sprint cycles.
- 6Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing, using Jest or Mocha to ensure reliability and reduce regressions.
- 7Optimize application performance, debugging bottlenecks in both frontend and backend, and tuning queries and rendering for speed.
- 8Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices, driving adoption of TypeScript standards across the team.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating React.js and Node.js projects.
- 2Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, including generics, decorators, and advanced types, with experience in large-scale codebases.
- 3Hands-on experience with NestJS framework, building modular, testable backend services.
- 4Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including GCP Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage.
- 5Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture, with familiarity in containerization using Docker.
- 6Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- 7Ability to work onsite in Dallas, TX; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; or Piscataway, NJ, as this is a contract role.
- 8Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
