Fullstack Engineer, Java & React (Seattle)
Overview
You will own fullstack development for a hybrid team in Seattle, building and scaling microservices with Java 8+ and Spring Boot while crafting responsive interfaces in React.js and TypeScript. You will work across the stack, from Docker and Kubernetes deployments to AWS services like RDS, ECS, and DynamoDB. This contract role demands 4 days onsite per week, with Fridays remote, and focuses on API and microservice patterns in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain fullstack features using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and React.js with TypeScript and CSS.
- 2Design and implement REST APIs, integrating API Gateway and load balancer configurations for high availability.
- 3Deploy and manage containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth CI/CD with Git.
- 4Develop and optimize microservices on AWS, leveraging RDS, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB for scalability.
- 5Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features from frontend to backend within the first 90 days.
- 6Debug and resolve production issues, focusing on performance and reliability of distributed systems.
- 7Drive code quality through reviews and testing, promoting best practices in JavaScript/TypeScript and Java.
- 8Own the architecture of new services, aligning with existing patterns and cloud-native principles.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of fullstack development experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
- 2Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS for frontend development.
- 3Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git for containerization and version control.
- 4Solid background in API development, including API Gateway and load balancer configurations.
- 5Experience building and deploying microservices on AWS services such as RDS, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
- 6Strong understanding of microservice patterns and architectural best practices.
