Overview
The role owns computational strategy and analysis for the Custom Immunoprofiler projects using single-cell genomics and machine learning to identify therapeutic targets. This position leads end-to-end scRNA-seq analysis pipeline development and interprets results for internal and external stakeholders. It involves partnering with experimental investigators to design validation experiments and establishing reproducible workflows.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead computational strategy and analysis for Custom Immunoprofiler projects using single-cell genomics and machine learning
- 2Oversee end-to-end scRNA-seq analysis pipeline from raw FASTQ data through Seurat or Scanpy with quality control normalization and integration
- 3Apply consensus non-negative matrix factorization to define gene expression programs across patients and conditions
- 4Interpret biological and clinical significance of results and assemble analysis packages for review
- 5Propose new analytical initiatives including machine learning for therapeutic target identification
- 6Partner with experimental investigators to design and interpret in vivo and in vitro perturbation experiments
- 7Co-mentor junior bioinformaticians and establish reproducible workflow standards
- 8Develop computational pipelines for high-performance computing environments
Requirements6
- 1Ph.D. in bioinformatics computational biology or related field with two years post-degree experience
- 2Proven ability to independently lead computational analyses and collaborate with experimental teams
- 3Strong proficiency in R and Python with deep experience in Seurat and Scanpy
- 4Demonstrated experience analyzing single-cell RNA-seq data
- 5Familiarity with HPC environments and reproducible workflows
- 6Two or more years of experience with single-cell genomics and machine learning applications
