What You'll Do10

  • 1Coordinate all front-end operations, including checkout lanes, self-checkout, and customer service desk, to minimize wait times and maximize throughput.
  • 2Lead customer service programs, resolving issues promptly to turn negative experiences into positive ones and build shopper loyalty.
  • 3Jump on a register when needed, demonstrating the same speed and friendliness you expect from your team.
  • 4Drive scheduling and labor planning to match staffing with customer traffic, keeping the front end fully covered.
  • 5Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front-end environment, from entryway to bagging areas.
  • 6Oversee cash handling: tills, safe counts, reconciliation, refunds, and loss prevention safeguards.
  • 7Monitor front-end supply inventory, placing orders to avoid stockouts.
  • 8Recruit, train, coach, and develop your associates, building a pipeline of future leaders.
  • 9Control expenses and labor budgets, balancing service excellence with financial targets.
  • 10Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety standards, and complete daily reports and payroll accurately.

Requirements10

  • 13-5 years in retail front-end management, demonstrating strong people leadership.
  • 22+ years of experience with POS systems, cash registers, and front-end equipment.
  • 3Proven track record coaching and developing hourly associates.
  • 4Skilled in creating schedules with labor planning tools.
  • 5Ability to analyze metrics like cash variance and service speed.
  • 6Strong customer-service orientation and conflict resolution skills.
  • 7Effective communication, both one-on-one and with large teams.
  • 8Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 9Physically capable of standing, lifting, and moving merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • 10Knowledge of cash handling procedures, security protocols, and transaction policies.
