FP&A Analyst, Manufacturing & Financial Modeling
Overview
As the Junior FP&A Analyst, you will own the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis cycles for Nextpower, a clean energy technology company. You will work with Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems like NetSuite or Syteline to deliver insights that drive management decisions. You will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and accounting teams to validate cost assumptions and improve profitability. This role offers direct exposure to the solar energy sector and a clear path to senior analysis roles.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build annual budgets and quarterly forecasts using Excel and financial models, consolidating inputs across manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
- 2Produce monthly P&L reports, margin bridges, and cost trend analyses, highlighting key variances against plan and prior periods.
- 3Conduct variance analysis on revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses, identifying root causes and presenting findings to management.
- 4Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to validate direct material, labor, and overhead costs, supporting cost control initiatives.
- 5Evaluate product and project profitability with Power BI dashboards, delivering data-driven recommendations to improve margins.
- 6Extract and reconcile data from NetSuite and Syteline, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial reports.
- 7Automate recurring reporting tasks using Excel macros and Power BI, reducing manual effort and improving data accessibility.
- 8Support month-end close activities by preparing accruals and reclass entries, working closely with accounting.
Requirements8
- 11-3 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, including internships, in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, and PowerPoint for executive presentations.
- 4Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Syteline, SAP, or Oracle.
- 5Strong analytical skills with a track record of producing accurate variance analysis and financial reports.
- 6Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
- 7Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with operations and accounting.
- 8Curiosity and eagerness to learn about end-to-end business operations in the clean energy industry.
Salary Insight
