Forklift Service Technician - Houston
Overview
Join HTX Material Handling as a Service Technician in Houston. This role involves owning and scaling equipment maintenance programs while delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead technical initiatives and mentor apprentices to drive operational excellence.
What You'll Do12
- 1Read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- 2Repair or replace major system components including electrical hydraulic mechanical LPG systems power steering transmissions engines under limited supervision
- 3Identify and order all necessary replacement parts
- 4Troubleshoot and diagnose most truck components
- 5Perform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervision
- 6Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance promptly
- 7Diagnose complex electrical systems on internal combustion and electric trucks
- 8Operate service van safely following all required safety rules
- 9Assist with training apprentice mechanics through on-the-job mentorship
- 10Follow all safety procedures and company policies at customer sites
- 11Represent HTX Material Handling professionally while resolving customer issues
- 12Work across the company footprint to ensure optimal service delivery
Requirements8
- 1Minimum of 2-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment
- 2Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- 3High school diploma or equivalent technical training
- 4Proficiency in electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- 5Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems
- 6Basic computer literacy using Windows Macintosh and Microsoft Office applications
- 7Fluent English communication skills
- 8Spanish language ability considered a plus
