Forklift Operator - Washington DC

The role involves operating Reach and Sit Down forklifts to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in handling inventory while maintaining a high standard of safety and productivity.
What You'll Do11
- 1Safely operate Reach and Sit Down forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers
- 2Receive, store, pick, move, and ship inventory accurately and efficiently
- 3Process orders and inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- 4Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required documentation
- 5Inspect inbound shipments and identify discrepancies or damage
- 6Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, vendors, customers, and internal teams
- 7Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- 8Operate floor sweeping equipment and assist with general housekeeping
- 9Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- 10Support team members and assist with additional warehouse duties
- 11Perform tasks related to warehouse logistics and fulfillment
Requirements11
- 1Minimum of 6 months of recent forklift operating experience
- 2Strong Reach forklift experience required
- 3Strong Sit Down forklift experience required
- 4Cherry picker experience required
- 5Pallet jack experience required
- 6Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred
- 7WMS experience preferred
- 8Strong commitment to workplace safety
- 9Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- 10Dependent punctual and self motivated
- 11Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Salary Insight
$37 - $42k per year
