Float Pool ED RN Contract - Denver
Overview
As a Regional Float Pool ED RN, you will own patient care delivery across multiple AdventHealth facilities in Colorado, managing 36 hours per week in a Day shift contract role. You will work directly with AdventHealth, not a third-party agency, and earn $86/hr with flexible assignment options. This role stands out because it offers the freedom to float across units while remaining an AdventHealth employee, with easy conversion to permanent staff if desired.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patients thoroughly and develop evidence-based care plans to optimize outcomes in the first 90 days.
- 2Administer medications and treatments per protocols, ensuring patient safety in the emergency department.
- 3Document patient health data systematically and timely to support continuity of care.
- 4Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient admission, discharge, and transfer following hospital policy.
- 5Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans, adjusting to their learning needs.
- 6Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, and perform hand hygiene to enforce safety regulations.
- 7Ensure safe handoff communication and documentation at every shift change.
- 8Participate in peer review and quality initiatives to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- 2Active RN license in Colorado or compact state.
- 3Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) required.
- 4Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
- 5Fluent in English with strong verbal and written skills.
- 6Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows-based programs.
- 7Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) preferred.
- 8Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patients and adjust care plans.
