Fleet Manager, Vehicle Operations & Procurement
Overview
Own the day to day vehicle fleet operations for a large MEP firm in Phoenix, coordinating acquisition, maintenance and inventory at scale. Partner with internal business units and external vendors to ensure seamless vehicle assignments, leases, insurance and safety compliance. Maintain accurate fleet records and audit tracking systems while leading replacement planning and cost control. This role offers hands on leadership in a fast paced, collaborative environment, with visibility across the organization.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain accurate vehicle inventory, drivers and insurance records.
- 2Coordinate vehicle assignments based on demand and availability and monitor lease management.
- 3Oversee maintenance and repairs, replacement schedules, and incident reporting.
- 4Negotiate with vendors on pricing and expedited dates, resolve invoice discrepancies, and ensure contract adherence.
- 5Support insurance administration and act as liaison between insurers and employees.
- 6Audit fleet expenses and reporting and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- 7Plan and execute vehicle replacement programs and budget analysis.
- 8Develop safety and maintenance communications for drivers and stakeholders.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and experience
- 25 years of relevant experience
- 3Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 4Ability to multi task between a variety of job responsibilities
- 5Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications
- 6Strong customer service skills
- 7Excellent procurement and negotiation skills
- 8Basic understanding of budgeting and accounting
- 9Experience with fleet tracking or fleet management software
- 10MVR checks and compliance awareness
