What You'll Do11
- 1Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting including additions retirements depreciation and disposals
- 2Maintain and enforce company fixed asset policy for GAAP compliance and provide guidance on capitalizable costs
- 3Prepare internal capitalized compensation costs and prepare reconciliations for assigned areas
- 4Lead fixed asset accounting operations supervising a Fixed Asset Accountant team
- 5Develop and mentor staff focusing on potential growth opportunities
- 6Ensure SOX compliance through internal controls and audit preparation
- 7Drive process improvements in accounting policies at corporate and store levels
- 8Collaborate across departments to support organizational objectives at Dallas location
- 9Implement and enhance financial systems integration within the organization
- 10Analyze financial data to provide insights for strategic decision making
- 11Mentor junior staff and foster professional development
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 6-10 years progressive experience
- 23-5 years supervisory or leadership experience especially in retail or restaurant settings
- 3Strong experience with Workday and advanced Excel proficiency
- 4Deep understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- 5Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- 6Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information clearly
- 7Ability to interpret written oral and procedural instructions accurately
- 8High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- 9Experience interpreting and applying regulatory guidelines
- 10Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
