Lead forecasting models for electricity and natural gas sales while analyzing consumption trends and regulatory requirements. Own processes to improve forecast accuracy and support strategic decisions. Collaborate across teams to deliver insights and ensure compliance.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop Build Monitor Refine forecasting models for monthly electricity sales and hourly electric load
- 2Develop Build Monitor Refine forecasting models for monthly natural gas sales
- 3Analyze factors influencing electricity consumption changes and incorporate them into forecasts
- 4Design and present reports on consumption forecasts economic conditions and other analyses
- 5Implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy
- 6Perform ad hoc summary trend and statistical analysis and communicate findings
- 7Support RFIs and external data requests while meeting internal information needs efficiently
- 8Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safety-conscious work environment
- 9Analyze Metrix Itron software and use SQL query tools
- 10Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand consumption drivers and market dynamics
- 11Drive initiatives that align forecasting practices with business objectives
Requirements11
- 1BS/BA in Engineering Finance Accounting Economics Statistics or equivalent experience
- 2Analyst I: 0-2 years professional experience
- 3Analyst II: 2-4 years professional experience
- 4Analyst III: 4-6 years professional experience
- 5Analyst Lead: 6+ years professional experience
- 6Strong analytical skills and forward-thinking creativity
- 7Self-starter with commitment to work quality
- 8Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- 9Proficiency with Excel and proficiency in SQL query tools
- 10Familiarity with Metrix Itron software products
- 11Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
