Overview
Seeking a Financial Analyst to lead consolidated monthly reporting and strategic planning at Amazon Music. This role provides direct access to Vice President-level stakeholders and drives data-informed decisions shaping the music streaming business. You will translate complex data into actionable insights that influence leadership and contribute to high-visibility projects.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage consolidated monthly reporting of actuals ensuring accuracy and completeness by extracting data and cross-checking against published sources
- 2Lead regular planning cycles including quarterly guidance and operating plan mechanisms partnering with the finance team to deliver timely analysis
- 3Build financial reports and models that apply KPIs to support strategic recommendations
- 4Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and draw conclusions that help leadership understand business performance
- 5Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance controllership and reporting efficiency creating documentation for knowledge transfer
- 6Prepare financial reports for leadership review collaborating with VP-level stakeholders to discuss findings and implications
- 7Dive into data analysis create compelling financial narratives and participate in planning discussions that shape the future of Amazon Music
- 8Collaborate daily with the finance team to understand business performance and emerging trends
- 9Participate in continuous learning opportunities and executive decision-making processes
Requirements9
- 11+ years of finance experience
- 21+ years of applying KPIs to analyses
- 3Bachelor's degree in Finance Accounting Business Economics or related analytical field
- 4Knowledge of Excel Access Oracle Essbase SQL VBA
- 5Experience using data to influence business decisions
- 61+ years of corporate finance experience including budgeting forecasting and reporting
- 72+ years of continuous improvement projects to scale controllership with measurable results
- 8Experience with TM1 Data Warehouse and SQL
- 9Preferred: 2+ years of participation in improvement projects experience in Amazon Music FP&A
