Field Service Technician - Palfinger North America
Overview
Palfinger seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to provide onsite support for truck-mounted equipment across its global client base. This remote role based in San Jose CA involves independent problem solving and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication abilities.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform field repairs and troubleshooting of articulating cranes truck-mounted forklifts conveyors trucks and trailers
- 2Conduct quarterly preventive maintenance and annual DOT inspections
- 3Provide emergency repair services during both scheduled and unscheduled shifts
- 4Communicate mechanical issues to job sites and fleet managers
- 5Document all service activities including estimates work orders parts labor and inventory
- 6Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations
- 7Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and job sites
- 8Execute repairs using Palfinger proprietary tools
- 9Obtain CDL driver’s license within 60 days if not currently holding one
Requirements6
- 1Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in hydraulic systems electrical diagnostics heavy equipment repair
- 2Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions
- 3Ability to lift 75lbs+ while standing sitting bending squatting and crouching
- 43 years mechanical experience focusing on articulating cranes and forklifts
- 5Proficiency in reading and writing English
- 6Valid CDL driver’s license or willingness to acquire within 60 days
