Mercor is building a talent network for a healthcare AI company that creates clinical decision-support tools. We're looking for family medicine and primary care physicians to review, annotate, and validate medical data that trains AI models. This is a part-time, on-site role in San Francisco, offering $170–$190 per hour. Your clinical expertise will help ensure these AI systems are safe, accurate, and explainable.
What You'll Do5
- 1Review and label clinical notes, EHR records, and case histories to support AI model training, identifying key medical entities, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
- 2Audit annotated datasets to verify clinical accuracy and consistency, and cross-check AI-generated outputs for medical soundness.
- 3Provide expert guidance on annotation rules, taxonomy development, and edge cases, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to improve AI understanding.
- 4Evaluate AI-generated clinical summaries and recommendations, flagging inaccuracies and giving structured feedback to refine the models.
- 5Help set clinical documentation standards and create onboarding materials for new annotators.
Requirements4
- 1Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialization in family medicine or internal medicine.
- 2Board certification or board eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine.
- 3At least 2 years of clinical experience in inpatient or hospitalist care settings.
- 4Experience in an academic hospital environment is preferred.
