Express Technician with MB DRIVE Training, Mercedes-Benz of Northlake
Overview
You'll own the express lube process at a high-volume Mercedes-Benz dealership, performing Lube, Oil, and Filter services on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You'll report directly to the service manager and collaborate with service advisors to ensure every vehicle leaves clean, safe, and at proper fluid levels. This role demands basic mechanical skills and a commitment to CSI standards. What You'll Do10
- 1Execute Lube, Oil, and Filter changes, draining and replacing oil and filters, and lubricating all chassis joints including idler arms, steering knuckles, tie rod ends, and ball joints.
- 2Inspect and top off battery fluid, tire pressure, windshield washer fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid to Mercedes-Benz specifications.
- 3Check and refill coolant levels as needed, ensuring the engine runs at optimal temperature.
- 4Install LOF reminder stickers in each vehicle and record service details in the dealership timekeeping system.
- 5Verify fluid levels and cleanliness before vehicle release, removing any fluid residue or fingerprints from the vehicle.
- 6Maintain CSI scores at or above company standards by delivering thorough, efficient service.
- 7Keep your work area organized, clean, and safe, following all Safeguards rules and OSHA regulations.
- 8Complete required MB DRIVE training modules and attend all assigned dealership training sessions.
- 9Accurately log all hours worked in the company timekeeping system, adhering to payroll deadlines.
- 10Communicate any needed repairs to the service advisor, providing clear notes on vehicle condition.
Requirements10
- 1GED or High School Diploma required.
- 2Up to 3 years of experience in an automotive service environment.
- 3Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- 4Demonstrable mechanical skills for performing lube, oil, and filter services.
- 5Technical training or equivalent experience in automotive repair.
- 6Valid Driver's License and Automobile Salesperson License where applicable.
- 7Basic computer skills to use the timekeeping system.
- 8Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or kneel for extended periods.
- 9Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and follow verbal instructions.
