What You'll Do7
- 1Perform full grooming services: bathing, trimming, styling, and coat styling tailored to each breed and owner preference.
- 2Handle dogs safely using restraint techniques, ensuring comfort and security during grooming.
- 3Conduct nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, and other hygiene tasks with precision and care.
- 4Manage animal handling with compassion, demonstrating excellent dog handling and care skills.
- 5Communicate with pet owners to understand grooming requests, provide updates, and advise on coat maintenance.
- 6Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
- 7Assist with pet sitting or kennel duties as needed to support animal care operations.
Requirements7
- 1Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques.
- 2Knowledge of veterinary procedures related to pet health; veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred.
- 3Familiarity with handling multiple species such as dogs, cats, and equines is advantageous.
- 4Background in dog training or veterinary experience enhances ability to handle challenging pets calmly.
- 5Exceptional customer service skills with clear, professional communication.
- 6Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large animals.
- 7Previous kennel or pet sitting experience is a plus for versatile animal care support.
