Overview
Senior culinary leader supporting Executive Chef in kitchen management and resident satisfaction. Lead service uphold standards and step in as culinary leader. Must be able to lead service and ensure high standards during operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead kitchen execution alongside Executive Chef providing hands-on direction coaching station support and accountability during service
- 2Ensure plates meet Holbrook standards for flavor temperature portioning presentation timing and consistency
- 3Support menu preparation production planning daily features events catering resident functions and seasonal menu execution
- 4Maintain high standards for line checks prep lists production sheets labeling dating storage sanitation allergen awareness cooling reheating and HACCP compliance
- 5Assist with scheduling station assignments training plans daily lineups menu rollouts and corrective coaching for culinary team members
- 6Use TOAST ordering systems inventory tools and daily communication processes to support accurate forecasting purchasing and service readiness
- 7Maintain inventory receive and rotate product monitor waste manage par levels and assist with food cost and labor cost control
- 8Help manage vendor relationships quality concerns credits substitutions item codes and product consistency
- 9Maintain kitchens walk-ins freezers dry storage equipment and prep areas in clean organized inspection-ready condition
- 10Respond to resident guest and service team needs with urgency professionalism and hospitality-first approach
- 11Fill in for Executive Chef when necessary ensuring daily culinary operations continue without interruption
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required with culinary degree or hospitality training preferred
- 2Minimum of 3 years progressive culinary experience including supervisory roles in restaurant hotel club senior living or high-volume food service
- 3ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain within company timeframe
- 4Strong cooking foundation knife skills station knowledge production planning and ability to train team members
- 5Understanding of sanitation food safety allergens holding temperatures cooling reheating labeling dating and safe equipment use
- 6Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- 7Lead a team solve problems quickly manage competing priorities and maintain professional composure under pressure
- 8Working knowledge of Microsoft Office TOAST POS scheduling tools or willingness to learn
- 9Collaborative attitude with strong resident guest vendor and team communication skills
- 105+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
