Overview
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations remotely via secure video conferencing for an acute rehabilitation hospital. What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct thorough patient evaluations remotely via secure video conferencing with OTAs.
- 2Direct on-site OTAs to collect data on ADLs, upper extremity function, motor skills, cognition, and sensory integration.
- 3Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence and quality of life, using data from virtual assessments.
- 4Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to finalize treatment plans.
- 5Document evaluation sessions and maintain patient records in the EMR system.
- 6Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings via video to coordinate patient care.
- 7Foster a supportive virtual environment, ensuring patients feel at ease during sessions.
Requirements10
- 1Active, unencumbered OT license in your state, with Compact multi-state licensure.
- 2Current BLS certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- 3Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT or OTD) from an accredited program.
- 42+ years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred.
- 5Experience or certification in telehealth or remote clinical assessments preferred.
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and video conferencing.
- 7Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- 8Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for virtual healthcare.
- 9Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- 10Reliable internet and a dedicated workspace for HIPAA-compliant telehealth.
