Overview
We need an Electric Vehicle Weekend Service Technical Specialist with expertise in product design development and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to remote technicians and collaborate with product engineering teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape service processes for electric vehicles.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist technicians via phone video call or in person with diagnosis and repair
- 2Develop technical training materials including Troubleshooting Guides R&R instructions Service Manuals
- 3Provide daily technical support for Orange EV Field Service and Customer Technicians
- 4Collaborate with Manufacturing and Service Team Members on current and future product programs
- 5Set up Service Diagnostic Computer and Tooling
- 6Work integrally with Product Engineering Departments on product programs
- 7Maintain high-voltage safety protocols using Lockout/Tagout procedures and Live-Dead-Live testing
- 8Create written procedures and bulletins while offering live phone support
- 9Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication
- 10Apply knowledge of lithium-ion battery health and Battery Management Systems
- 11Diagnose issues using digital multimeters HV isolation diagnostics and CAN diagnostics
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree or Technical Certification in related field preferred
- 24+ years of Automotive or related technical experience
- 3Occasional travel required
- 4High-voltage safety certification such as NFPA 70E preferred
- 5ASE L3 certification or equivalent manufacturer-specific credentials preferred
- 6Physical ability to lift components up to 50lbs
- 7Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components
