Equipment Specialist, Military Maintenance & GCSS
Overview
You will own inventory control and equipment readiness for a Department of Defense facility in Warren, MI, managing 339 obsolescence cases and coordinating with multiple service branches. Working with a dedicated team at Solution One Industries, you will ensure parts meet Form, Fit, Function standards and drive timely resolutions. This role puts your military maintenance experience to work in a civilian logistics environment, with direct impact on mission-critical equipment. You will also serve as the go-to expert for GCSS and SAP GUI users, bridging technical data and operational needs.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead part research for 339 obsolescence cases, updating ECD and EER deadlines in CATALYST.
- 2Identify SOS and alternate parts that meet AMC/AMSC and RNCC/RNVC coding, leveraging GCSS data.
- 3Interpret Technical Manuals and I-Type Documents to deliver detailed logistics analysis for unresolved cases.
- 4Coordinate EER, RFV, and PQDR reviews with engineering, prioritizing emergency and Depot High Priority parts.
- 5Manage cross-service coordination with Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and USMC to close assigned cases.
- 6Submit Change Request Part I/II in CATALYST, attach documents to the portal, and promote complete cases in SAP GUI.
- 7Track and report equipment audits, ensuring accuracy of inventory records and compliance with policy.
Requirements7
- 14+ years of military service (active or reserve) with a Maintenance MOS.
- 21+ year experience with GCSS or another military supply application.
- 3Proven ability to track and report equipment audits with meticulous detail.
- 4Strong analytical skills to interpret technical documentation and logistics data.
- 5Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority tasks.
- 6Familiarity with The Army Materiel Maintenance Policy.
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication for inter-agency coordination.
