Overview

AECOM seeks a creative Area Manager focused on Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation. This role oversees major programs to achieve KPIs. The position is open in Ohio Kentucky Indiana Illinois and Missouri. Successful candidates will also handle billable work.

What You'll Do37

  • 1Act as point of escalation for project issues and recommend improvements
  • 2Drive monthly quarterly and annual performance related to financial forecasting
  • 3Support business leadership to enhance working capital performance
  • 4Monitor cash flow including unbilled billed AR and DSO
  • 5Drive consistent project management practices aligned with PDS and QMS
  • 6Ensure accuracy of workload planning tool status
  • 7Maintain compliance with West Region Environment Pricing guidance and DOA risk approval framework
  • 8Support salesforce pipeline data and detailed forecast reports
  • 9Drive program performance to meet client satisfaction and KPIs
  • 10Interact with leadership on governance and risk issues
  • 11Develop solutions to client problems and participate in project reviews
  • 12Integrate international enterprise capabilities into project delivery
  • 13Manage high quality client projects
  • 14Share people management responsibilities for approximately 125 staff
  • 15Build trusting relationships with key contacts across diverse sectors
  • 16Provide rapid follow up to address concerns
  • 17Participate in feedback for project managers
  • 18Develop succession plans and advise on recruiting key people
  • 19Train and mentor employees with goal of developing new project managers
  • 20Coach project managers on business performance and KPIs
  • 21Evaluate individual performance of project managers
  • 22Collaborate with account managers and practice leaders to grow profitable backlog
  • 23Develop budgets for client program management and optimization
  • 24Lead capture strategies for key pursuits and major projects
  • 25Ensure high capture rates and grow business capabilities
  • 26Require bachelor's degree and 8+ years relevant experience
  • 27May undergo motor vehicle record screening and background check
  • 28Must be US citizen or permanent resident
  • 29Preferred 15+ years including 8+ operations management experience
  • 30Strong knowledge in environmental remediation across multiple states
  • 31Experience as people manager and team builder

  • 1Bachelor's degree and 8+ years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency

  • 5Strong knowledge and track record in environmental remediation risk based strategic asset management advocacy in multiple state jurisdictions
