Entry-Level Auto Technician on the 2nd shift will perform light maintenance and initial inspections to support reconditioning of vehicles at Carvana's Tolleson center. You will work with a team in a high-tech inspection environment and receive training to progress in pay and skills. The role emphasizes reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety protocols in a fast-paced production setting. This position offers shift-based pay and overtime as needed.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform light maintenance and fluid checks on vehicles
- 2Inspect vehicles for imperfections and determine required repairs during reconditioning
- 3Assist senior technicians in diagnostics and repairs as needed
- 4Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment during inspections
- 5Participate in the training program to grow skills and pay with the company
- 6Collaborate with team to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
- 7Document inspections and maintenance actions clearly in job systems
- 8Support vehicle preparation for photos and listing on Carvana site
- 9Assist with tire and brake tasks as part of entry-level responsibilities
- 10Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment on 4x10 shifts
Requirements10
- 1Must have a minimum of 6 months of professional automotive repair experience
- 2Able to lift up to 60 pounds and operate vehicle equipment
- 3Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
- 4Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- 5Flexibility to work second shift Mon-Thurs 4pm-3am with mandatory overtime as needed
- 6Must be able to pass background check for employment
- 7Willingness to participate in Company training programs and growth opportunities
- 8Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment
- 9Previous exposure to safety procedures and PPE usage
- 10Must reside near Tolleson, AZ or be able to commute to 600 S 94th Ave Tolleson AZ 85353
