Entitlement Analyst, Payroll & PTO Compliance
Overview
You will own PTO and wage-hour rule setup in the Entitlement Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance across 20,000+ client sites. You will interpret union collective bargaining agreements and statutory laws, then translate them into system configurations that drive payroll accuracy. Collaborating with Accounting, HR, Legal, and IT Developers, you will support the EPay rollout and maintain critical compliance for California Meal and Rest Break and Healthy San Francisco requirements. This role offers direct impact on multi-million-dollar payroll operations and the chance to shape new software implementations.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and maintain Union, Statutory, and Customer PTO rules in the EMS to ensure accurate entitlement calculations.
- 2Configure wage, hour, and pay adjustment rules in EMS and EPay for compliance with union agreements and legal mandates.
- 3Document new union contracts and statutory changes, updating the EMS with precise rule logic.
- 4Drive the EPay rollout by defining pay calculation rules and system setup data for each job site.
- 5Generate accurate system reports for FP&A, Accounting, HR, and Operations teams.
- 6Reconcile monthly PTO balances against balance sheet accruals, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- 7Audit EMS PTO calculations to identify and correct errors before they impact payroll.
- 8Partner with IT Developers to resolve code-level issues causing balance reporting errors.
- 9Investigate and resolve reported discrepancies with Operations and HR teams.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in Accounting, Finance, payroll, benefits, or electronic timekeeping.
- 2Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
- 4Understanding of payroll processing requirements.
- 5Experience with EPay or similar timekeeping systems.
- 6Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 7Effective communication skills across all management levels.
- 8Ability to work within strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
