Engineering Supervisor, Injection Molding
Overview
You will lead the engineering department at Junchuang North America, overseeing annual planning, cost control, and performance tracking for a plant running plastic injection molding with MES systems. You will manage trial and mass production deliveries, drive continuous improvement, and mentor staff in injection molding and total equipment maintenance. Working alongside a team of engineers and technicians, you will coordinate with parallel departments to ensure safety and compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. What You'll Do9
- 1Develop the annual operational plan for the engineering department, controlling costs to meet budget targets.
- 2Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the injection molding plant to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- 3Lead training programs in injection molding technology, mold technology, and total equipment maintenance for engineering staff.
- 4Manage trial and mass production orders, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, process control, and quality management.
- 5Revise and implement flowcharts, documents, forms, and standardization files for the engineering department.
- 6Support new project development from early planning through trial production, ensuring smooth mass production handoff.
- 7Define software requirements and logic optimization for MES and other systems, promoting IT adoption.
- 8Supervise department personnel, develop the talent pool, and enforce safety operating procedures on the floor.
- 9Coordinate with parallel departments and complete additional assignments from leadership.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in a supervisory or higher role within injection molding engineering.
- 2Diploma from a vocational college or higher institution.
- 3Proficiency in operating injection molding machines, including horizontal, vertical, and two-color machines.
- 4Familiarity with ISO 14001 system requirements.
- 5IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Certification.
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of CAD and PROE drawing software.
- 7Experience in workshop management, familiar with production workflow, and skilled in communication and coordination.
Salary Insight
$60 - $65k per year
