Engineering Manager, Agentic Platform (FDE)
Overview
You will lead a team of Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions on Cohere's North platform for enterprise customers in finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. You will own technical implementation and delivery, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Sales. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic process design for scalable deployments across on-premises environments.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions with North in on-premises environments.
- 2Own customer success from technical implementation through delivery, ensuring secure and reliable integration of AI into enterprise systems.
- 3Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape delivery strategies for agentic solutions.
- 4Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end, translating complex requirements into actionable plans.
- 5Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrating agentic solutions into every development step.
- 6Define and implement processes to scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments.
Requirements6
- 18+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on enterprise software.
- 22+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
- 3Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications.
- 4Track record of managing engineers in high-growth, fast-paced settings.
- 5High agency and a doer mentality, solving problems without waiting for permission.
- 6Excellent communication skills in English, translating technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.
