Endocrinologist, Outpatient & Diabetes Care
Overview
You will own comprehensive outpatient endocrinology care for a diverse patient panel in Bronx, New York. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal conditions, and osteoporosis within a multi-specialty network. You will collaborate with primary care and specialty teams, supported by strong internal referrals. What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and manage Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary conditions, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances in an outpatient setting.
- 2Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions.
- 3Develop individualized treatment plans including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and lifestyle counseling.
- 4Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- 5Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and long-term health optimization.
- 6Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly within the EHR system.
- 7Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements5
- 1MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- 2Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
- 3Active or eligible medical license in New York.
- 4DEA registration or eligibility.
- 5Prior outpatient endocrinology experience preferred; fellows completing training are encouraged to apply.
