VEG seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast‑paced team in Hoboken, NJ. What You'll Do9
- 1Treat every patient and person like they matter delivering nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge
- 2Jump into action delivering IVs CRIs blood transfusions and other advanced therapies
- 3Communicate like a teammate and think like a leader shaping care plans and maintaining flow
- 4Perform CPR using our proprietary RECOVER protocol with extensive instructor resources
- 5Manage diagnostics imaging sample collection and advanced procedures such as central lines and endoscopy
- 6Administer anesthesia and specialized techniques including ultrasounds and endoscopic interventions
- 7Collaborate with veterinarians to provide emotionally intelligent, high‑quality care for exotic and companion animals
- 8Maintain accurate records and adhere to practice management software standards
- 9Support hospital operations during peak periods ensuring seamless patient transitions
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with associate’s degree in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program preferred
- 2Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician in New York state with VTS in ECC internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia preferred
- 31+ years of experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine
- 4Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records and management software
- 5Excellent communication skills calm under pressure and ability to lift 25 kg independently
- 6Willingness to work nights weekends and holidays in a noisy environment with strong odors
- 7Availability for rotating shifts across a nationwide network of 24/7 emergency hospitals
- 8Strong sense of ownership accountability and commitment to long‑term impact
