Electrical Engineer, Power Distribution & MEP
Overview
Own the electrical design for complex healthcare, government, education, and transportation projects at a 65+ person MEP firm. You will architect power distribution systems from concept through commissioning, using Revit and Bluebeam. What You'll Do6
- 1Design complex electrical and power distribution systems for healthcare, government, education, and transportation projects.
- 2Steer projects through full lifecycle, managing timelines and coordinating with teams in Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
- 3Mentor junior engineers through hands-on training and formal guidance to elevate the department's technical skills.
- 4Enforce rigorous QC for all electrical deliverables, ensuring strict compliance with NEC and local codes.
- 5Develop high-fidelity BIM models in Revit and Bluebeam, coordinating with architectural and mechanical systems.
- 6Apply specialized sector knowledge to meet project-specific requirements in healthcare, government, education, and transportation.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of engineering experience in an A/E or consulting environment.
- 2B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 3Active EIT certification; PE license preferred.
- 4Intermediate to advanced Revit and Bluebeam skills.
- 5Experience with power distribution system design and analysis.
- 6Strong understanding of NEC and local building codes.
- 7Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- 8Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary Insight
$70 - $180k per year
