What You'll Do11
- 1Build positive customer relationships and communicate feedback or product information when appropriate
- 2Prepare the truck for operation by assisting in loading securing items and verifying shipping papers
- 3Deliver orders via the most effective route ensuring complete orders are delivered within established time frames
- 4Unload products neatly and orderly either independently or with customer assistance
- 5Document delivery accuracy and receipt reporting any discrepancies
- 6Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions
- 7Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections checking tires lights brakes fluids
- 8Maintain a safe driving record free of violations complying with DOT and OSHA requirements
- 9Operate forklifts to move unload or hoist inbound and outbound shipments
- 10Inspect accept or reject shipments from vendors
- 11Understand and demonstrate company core values of courage commitment collaboration compassion ownership and optimism
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Willingness to undergo pre-employment and random drug screenings
- 3Minimum six months experience driving a medium-sized truck under three tons typically four wheels
- 4Ability to lift and carry up to seventy-five pounds
- 5Capacity to remain alert for extended periods
- 6Physical ability to work in extreme heat and cold
- 7Experience driving pickup or cabover vehicles
- 8Wear safety vest when applicable
- 9OSHA regulated steel toe shoes meeting ASTM F243 M/I/50/C/50 or ANSI Z41 PT M/I/50/50 or ASTM F2413 F/I/50/C/50 or ANSI Z41 PT F/I/50/C/50 requirements
